Team Dillon is pleased to be working with Emma Pallant who is very new to Triathlon but has a pedigree of running that GBR will be excited about.
After watching Alastair and Jonathon Brownlee recently win our first medals at the Olympic Games we know there will be lots of interest in our sport in the next four year cycle leading into Rio 2016.
Emma last year won the U23 European Cross Country Championships and has some very fast running times to her name, http://www.pacesportsmanagement.com/athlete_profile.asp?id=268
However she has had some frustrating injuries and wanted to try something new. Emma has swam at club level and has been riding her bike for some time now.
Emma approached Team Dillon for coaching advice over a month ago now and has steadily been making progress, she is enjoying being back in the pool and getting the miles in on the bike. Emma even feels her running has gone up another level with the added fitness! Emma has her sights set high and wants to see how she fairs in her new sport. Already having worked closely with Kelly Holmes Emma is a gritty, determined competitor with lots of potential.
We welcome Emma into Triathlon and will be encouraging other young women into our sport who think they might have the potential and would like to give the sport a Go!
